Our experience was excellent! We found this development a year ago and the salesman went above and beyond to help get us where we are today in our new home. The customer service from the office onsite in the development to the design center where we got to choose and design everything we wanted in our home up to the walk through the day of settlement with the property manager was a great experience. They answered all of our questions and responded very quickly to all calls and emails. The home itself is beautiful and the quality of the work is 100%. My husband and I work in construction ourselves and are very picky and know what to look for in a home so I can honesty say what you are getting when you build a home with Rouse Chamberlain in excellent quality work. 8 Fall Lawn Care Tips Before Winter

Fall has finally arrived. Those hot summer days are gone. Fall is the perfect time to get your lawn ready for the cold and freezing months ahead. It is time for aeration and overseeding. Also, scratch up those bare spots and put down some seed. Warm days and cool nights provide ideal growing conditions. All you need to do is make sure it stays damp. Come springtime, your lawn will take off.
Save Time in the Spring
Do not forget to prepare your lawn for winter with a nice dose of winter fertilizer. I always suggest applying after your leaves are cleaned up for the season. The better job you do cleaning up in the fall, the less you have to do come springtime.
As the weather is still nice out, Fall is the perfect time to start planning for the winter months ahead. Below are a few suggestions to get started.
Lawn Care Tips to Prepare for Winter
- You can start with your gutters and downspouts. Make sure they are connected, clear of debris, and functioning correctly.
- Drain all hoses, wrap them up, and store them for the winter. Don’t forget to turn off and drain your outside faucets.
- Make sure there are no items in outside storage areas that will freeze or could be damaged in freezing weather.
- Winterize all your outdoor gardening equipment.
- Make ready all your snow equipment.
- Winterize your HVAC unit. Shut it down, clean around it, and cover it. You may want to wait on this until you are sure there are no hot spells coming.
- Make sure your fireplace is in good working order for the winter ahead.
- Don’t forget your deck or patio equipment. Clean, cover, and get ready to store for the winter.

Preparing for Winter only makes the start of Spring that much easier. Keeping care of your lawn and outdoor equipment saves you money in the long run. So, put in the work now before it’s too late! Then, sit back, relax, and stay warm this winter.
